GMC's Neely named NJCAA Defensive POTW

MILLEDGEVILLE, GA-  

Georgia Military's Corey Neely has been named the National Defensive Player of the Week by the NJCAA for week 1 of the 2014 regular season.

Neely , a sophomore free safety, had 17 tackles and two fumble recoveries including 13 solo tackles. The second year starter for the Bulldogs is from Rock Hill, SC. 
Last season Neely accounted for 35 tackles, of which 23 were solo tackles, to go along with 3 interceptions and a fumble recovery. One of his 3 interceptions last year was returned for a touchdown.
