ABAC Stallions capture men's tennis championship
Over the past couple of years ABAC and GPC have battled on the court for tennis bragging rights with each school looking to take the men's crown. This year the title remains on the ABAC campus in Tifton, GA
The seventh ranked ABAC Stallions recaptured the GCAA men's tennis championship by upending sixth ranked GPC 6-3. ABAC was led by MVP Josh Page as he defeated Juan Cruz Di Paulo Martinez 6-2 6-1.
Of the six singles events ABAC won four while also taking two of the three doubles events. Between ABAC and GPC the GCAA has two teams in the top ten ITA rankings going into the national tournament next month in Plano, TX.
First year head Coach Dale White was presented with Coach of the Year honors. White, a fomer assistant for long time and legendary coach Alan Kramer now leads a program with a storied history. Former coach Norman "Red" Hill and current VP/AD and previous coach Alan Kramer built the ABAC program into national prominance and now it is White's job to continue the tradition.
