Lady Cavaliers finish 2nd at DSC MidSeason Run

DAWSON - The Darton State College Lady Cavaliers finished in second place at their annual Mid-Season Run at Skiles Farm in Dawson, today.
Georgia Southwestern State University won the race with 28 points. Ashleigh Owens of GSW won the 5K with a time of 21:21.
Darton sophomore Amber Braswell finished second with a time of 21:56. Darton's Tatianna Forester finished fourth (22:08), Victoria Parra eighth (22:20), Shamicah Tardy 11th (24:02), and Stephanie Estrada 14th (25:20). The Lady Cavaliers tallied 39 points.
"We did pretty well," said Darton State head cross country coach Bruce Skiles. "I'm real happy with Amber and Tatiana's times. This is a tough course with some hills on it, so those times are pretty good."
Also running for Darton were Katie Thomspon (25:34, 16th), Mary Calcutt (26:55, 18th) and Elizabeth Rose (32:45, 19th).
