CGTC's Lady Titans top Lady Tigers 65-61
Central Georgia Tech drops Andrew in Conference Contest 65-51
The Central Georgia Tech Lady Titans started off the new year with a loss but as the temps outside have gotten colder the Lady Titans have been heating up with five straight wins including Saturday's win against the Lady Tigers of Andrew College tonight in Macon. Of those five wins four have been conference wins for CGTC.
In this past Saturday's 65-51 win, the Titans never trailed leading 11-4 after the first quarter and headed into the half with a 23 -16 lead. In the second half the Lady Tigers were able to reduce the Titan lead by only one point in the third period and then CGTC pulled away in the final ten minutes of the contest.
CGTC's Laurie Thomas led all scorers with 14 points and last weeks' women's GCAA Player of the Week, Dyneshia Brown added 12 points and 5 rebounds. L'Trinity Eubanks led the Tigers with 11 points and Taliah Wesley contributed 10 points.
The Titans will travel to Georgia Highlands College this Wednesday to take on the Chargers in a key conference matchup.
