GCAA Softball Tournament Preview

With the GCAA 2024 softball regular season over, four teams now turn their attention to the post season tournament which starts Thursday at Georgia Highlands new softball/baseball complex in Cartersville.

#2 Georgia Military will play # 3 ABAC in the 12 pm game, while #1 Gordon takes on #4 East Georgia at 2 pm. The first elimination game with take place at 4 pm with the losers of the first two games battling to continue. Thursday's winners' bracket game will have the two remaining undefeated teams playing at 6pm with the winner advancing to Friday's GCAA Championship Game. 

The GCAA champion advances to host Region 10's representative for the NJCAA Mid-Atlantic District Championship May 8/9. 

The district champion will head to the NJCAA national softball tournament. 

Thursday May 2

Game 1 - 12 PM    #3 ABAC vs #2 GMC

Game 2 -   2 PM    #4 EGSC vs #1 GSC

Game 3 -   4 PM    Loser Game 1 vs Loser Game 2 (elimination game)

Game 4 -   6 PM    Winner Game 1 vs Winner Game 2 

Friday May 3

Game 5 - 12 PM   Loser Game 3 vs Winner Game 4 (elimination game)

Game 6  -  2 PM   Championship Game
