Team Stats
Gordon State College's Softball team punched their ticket to the NJCAA National Championship by taking an impressive two wins from #1 seed Georgia Military College.
The Highlanders entered the tournament as the fourth seed and lost three of four regular season contests to the Bulldogs. On day one of the GCAA tournament Gordon State defeated the Bulldogs 8-2 on Thursday. Gordon then finished the evening by defeating #2 seed ABAC 8-7, putting the Highlanders in the title game. The Championship game saw the Bulldogs take the win 13-9 forcing the "IF" game. Pitcher Katelyn Munoz shut down GMC and Kelsye Harris' two run homer was the difference as the Highlanders took the Championship with a 4-2 win
The Bulldogs open their bid for the NJCAA National Championship will begin on May 23th in Oxford, Alabama at Chocoloco Park.
