Bulldogs win GCAA championship with victory over East Georgia State
For the second time in a row, the Georgia Military College softball team is going to the NJCAA national championship tournament. The Bulldogs defeated the fourth seeded Bobcats 7-0 in the GCAA tournament which went all the way to the championship "IF" game to determine the champion.
The second-seeded Bulldogs took the long road through the Region 17 double-elimination tournament having to play five games and win 3 consecutive games coming out of the losers bracket. GMC had to defeat the Bobcats twice after losing to them earlier in the tournament in the winners bracket.
Next stop for the Bulldogs (46-15) is St. George, Utah, for the NJCAA national tournament May 17.
