Milledgeville, GA – Jayde Bradley only needed one run Saturday as the Golden Knights topped 19th-ranked Georgia Military here Saturday 1-0.
West Georgia Tech got on the board in the first after singles by Jordan Hamilton, Chancey Davis, and Bradley loaded the bases. Hamilton scored the single run on a ground out by Kendall Hardy and Bradley made it hold up. The Bremen native limited the Bulldogs to just 3 hits and improved to 2-2 on the season.
Earlier in the day, the two teams completed a game interrupted by weather Feb. 21 in Carrollton with GMC winning 13-1. Following the 1-0 shutout, the Bulldogs bounced back with a 7-0 to split the doubleheader. With the victories, GMC improves to 32-10 overall and a GCAA-leading 11-5.
WGTC (5-15, 3-13) returns to action Wednesday when they host Gordon State. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. at Central High School.
