Win Streak at four as Lady Tigers sweep Gordon

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College softball team rolled to big wins in both games against Gordon State on Sunday at the Hord Complex, winning 11-3 in game one, then 12-1 in the nightcap.
In game one, the Lady Tigers rallied for 7 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to wipe out a 3-2 deficit, and eased to the 11-3 win. Katie Hayes went 2 for 3 and had an RBI, Madison Beazley and Cheyenne Tillman each doubled and had 2 RBI, and Brittany Ostrander picked up her 6th win in the circle, and chipped in with the bat, singling in a pair of runs.
Game two saw the Lady Tigers put up 4 runs in the 2nd inning, then 8 runs in the 4th inning, as they mercy ruled the Lady Highlanders in 5 innings, 12-1. Beazley and Megan Bircheat each had a pair of hits, with Beazley driving in two runs, and Bircheat one run, Samantha Gidney singled in a pair of runs, and Caitlin Davis picked up her 5th win of the year, allowing only 2 hits, and striking out 5.
The Tigers close out the home portion of their schedule on Tuesday against LaGrange College JV, then finish with 3 doubleheaders in the GCAA on the road.
