CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Lady Tigers started hot, and stayed hot, banging out 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning, on two long home runs, to ease to a 6-2 win, in game one, then pounded out 10 hits in game two for a 9-4 win over the Lady Stallions at the Hord Athletic Complex on Wednesday. The sweep lifts the Tigers to 3-3 in GCAA play.
Madison Beazley led off game one with her first collegiate home run, Katie Hayes drove in the second run, thenKenzi Maddox laced her 5th homer of the season, a 3-run shot that staked the Lady Tigers to an an early 5-0 lead. Beazley finished 3 for 4 in the game, Hayes went 2 for 4, and Kaitlyn Smith had a hit and an RBI for Tigers in game one.
The Tigers broke a 3-3 tie with 3 runs in the bottom of the third, added 2 runs in the 5th, and 1 run in the 6th, to pull away for the game two win. Hayes went 3 for 4 with an RBI, Beazley went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI, Cheyenne Tillmanadded a 2 for 3 day, Maddox had a hit and 2 RBI, while Kierra West went 1 for 1 with an RBI.
