Darton's Texas trip gathers two victories

The Darton State College Cavaliers beat San Jacinto College-South, in Houston on Friday, and then prevailed over No. 4-ranked Tyler Junior College on Saturday to kick off their 2012 soccer season. 

Returning All-American sophomore Troy Tucker assisted Patrick Dacosta's and Andrew Palumbo's goals to beat San Jacinto 2-1.  On Saturday Tucker assisted Barrington Wright's goal against Tyler before Luis Zuluagua buried a free kick to win the game 2-1.

The Cavs are now 2-0 as they begin their quest to the 2012 NJCAA Men’s Soccer D-I Championship, which Darton will host in November. They face GCAA rival South Georgia College on Wednesday.
