Bobcats take match with Oxford-Emory

The Georgia Northwestern golf team tuned up for its next tournament by defeating Emory-Oxford College in a match at Canyon Ridge Golf Club in Rising Fawn on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bobcats finished the afternoon with a team score of 304, easily defeating the Eagles by 48 strokes.

Sophomore first team All-American Jordan Estes shot a 1-under par 71 to pace the Bobcats' effort, while fellow sophomore first team All-American Chase Cole carded a 1-over 73.

Freshman Tucker Venable shot a 76, while sophomore Lanier Guest rounded out the score with an 84. Sophomore Grant Allen also played in the lineup and shot an 88, but only the lowest four scores were counted.

Georgia Northwestern will travel to Waleska, Georgia on Sept. 28 and 29 to compete in the Reinhardt University Invitational.
