CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Tigers took a little bit to get rolling, falling behind 1-0, then exploding for 8 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning, and another 7 runs in the bottom of the 6th, to take a mercy-rule shortened 15-5 win over Enterprise State CC (AL) on Thursday night at the the Hord Athletic Complex.
Mike Branche paced the offense, going 3 for 4, with a double and 5-RBI, and Connor Nalley went 2 for 4 with 3-RBI. Both also scored a pair of runs. Andrew Compton added a 1 for 3 night with 3-RBI and 2 runs scored, Jalin Thomas and Jordan Holt went 2 for 4 with an RBI each, as the Tigers pounded out 12 hits on the night.
Brandon Brown ran his season record to 2-1, striking out 5, and allowing just 2 hits and 1 run.
