Oliu tosses three hitter as Tigers earn split with Stallions

Team Stats
TIFTON, Ga. -- Roman Oliu scattered three hits, giving up one run, and struck out three, while Brett Anderson homered and drove in two runs, to lead the Tigers to a 3-1 win over ABAC, lifting Andrew to split of their doubleheader. The Tigers dropped game one, 5-4.
In game one, Willie Thrower hit a two-run homer, Anderson doubled twice and drove in a run, and Anthony Younghad two hits, including a double, but the three-run rally in the top of the 6th inning fell short.
The win runs Oliu's record to 3-2 on the season, and lowered his ERA to a team-leading 3.72, currently 5th best in the GCAA. Anderson's hot bat of late, has lifted his average to .324, second on the Tigers to the still hot Mike Warren's .383.
The GCAA takes next week off of region games for the Easter Week. The Tigers will play Wallace-Dothan on Tuesday, and LaGrange College JV on Wednesday at the Hord Athletic Complex. A single nine against Dothan, and a doubleheader versus LaGrange.
