GCAA presents Service Awards
The GCAA's Board of Members held their yearly August meeting to discuss working aspects of all sports for the 2013-2014 season. Prior to the session, Service Awards were given to coaches and athletic administrators of GCAA school members for their service to the conference.
5 year service award recipients (from left to right) David Archer- Chattahoochee Tech, Roderick Stubbs- Oxford College of Emory University, Dale White - ABAC and John Campbell - Gordon were given a service pin. Archer and Stubbs currently serve as Athletic Director and Men's Basketball coach for their institutions. Dale White currently serves as Head Men's and Women's Tennis coach and Campbell is the Highlanders Cross Country coach.
10 year service award was given to Sonny Harmon, Golf coach and Rob Manchester Assistant Football coach. Both Harmon and Manchester are with Georgia Military College.
20 year service award was presented to Alan Kramer from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). Kramer has been been ABAC's tennis coach and Athletic Director. ABAC recently promoted Assistant coach Dale White to head coach so Kramercould take on the role of Assistant Dean for Student Life along with his duties as Athletic Director. Kramer is presented a watch by GCAA Commissioner David Elder.
