Isler selected to play in NJCAA All Star Weekend
CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Rising sophomore Toddrianna Isler of Andrew College, has been selected to participate in the 2017 NJCAA Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Weekend, to be held July 21-24, in Niceville, FL at Northwest Florida State College. This the 9th year of the event.
Isler, a forward from Albany, GA and Monroe High School, is one just 40 players from around the country to be invited, and one of four from the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA). The NJCAA Women's Basketball Coaches Association's objective is to promote basketball to its highest level in two-year colleges throughout the nation; to place at the disposal of coaches, sources of basketball information; to advise through recommendation, the NJCAA Standing Committee on Women's Basketball. Activities at the All-Star weekend include team practices, a Hall of Fame Banquet, and games on Sunday and Monday.
Isler was one of just 3 players in the GCAA to average a double-double for the season, averaging 12.1 points per game, and pulling down 10.6 boards per game, while posting 12 double-doubles in 29 contests. The 10.6 rebounds per game were 3rd in the GCAA and she was just one of 5 players to pull down 300+ rebounds for the year. Isler shot 41% from the field and scored 351 points on the season. She also posted a 3.6 GPA in the classroom.
