Lady Jets remain unbeaten with win over Lady Cavaliers
ALBANY - Despite trailing most of the game, the South Georgia Technical College Lady Jets pulled out a 71-66 victory over the Lady Cavaliers at the Darton State College Arena.
The Lady Jets trailed by one point at half and finally grabbed the lead with three minutes left in the game to remain unbeaten in GCAA Confernce play at 16-0.
All five starters for the Lady Jets finished in double figures with Shameekia Murray leading the way with 20 points. Alexia Somerset had 15 points, Shaquita Snow contributed 14 points and Nikkei Blackburn and TaQuandra Mike each scored 10 points
Darton’s Shanae Armbrister had a game-high 23 points and 9 rebounds while teammate Jasmine Wilson scored 19 points and rebounded 5. Forward Kadaysha Jones had six assists, 12 points and 6 rebounds.
South Georgia Tech should continue to move up from their #15 national ranking.
