GCAA Runner of the Year signs with West Georgia
Macon, GA – Central Georgia Technical College and GCAA Runner of the Year Tim Feezor has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with the University of West Georgia (UWG).
Last season, Feezor was the catalyst for the CGTC men's program. He led the Titans to victory in the Middle Georgia (MGA) Invitational after the program's year-long hiatus from competition in his first collegiate meet.
In addition, the Houston County High graduate's strong performance led the Titans to a third-place finish in the Georgia Military College (GMC) Brickyard Invitational.
With a time of 27:59.5, Tim captured a first-place finish in the 2019 Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Cross Country Championship, earning him the coveted title of GCAA Men's Runner of the Year and a spot on the All-Region Team.
"I can't overstate how proud I am of Tim and the way he was able to come in and be so dominant as a freshman," said Craig Lawson, CGTC Cross Country Head Coach. "To win the conference and sign a four-year scholarship within nine months of graduating high school is an unreal accomplishment and it's a testament to his hard work."
As the 2019 GCAA Division I Men's Cross Country Champion, Feezor earned an automatic bid to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Cross Country Championship in Albuquerque, New Mexico in November 2019. Among the field of 343 runners, Feezor finished 73rd overall with a time of 26:40 in the national meet.
