CGTC Basketball Volunteers in Local Special Olympics Event
Warner Robins, GA – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) men's and women's basketball teams recently volunteered in the Special Olympics Masters Bowling Tournament in Warner Robins.
Each year, over 1,200 Special Olympics athletes, coaches, and volunteers come together for this worthy cause to help foster acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities.
Having volunteered for the past few years, the Titans and Lady Titans were on hand to cheer on and show their continued support for the participating athletes in the friendly competition.
"This was a great opportunity for our student-athletes to interact with the Special Olympics athletes," said Reco Dawson, CGTC's head men's basketball coach. "The building was full of energy and we had a blast."
