Andrew tabs Brooks to restart Men's Basketball Program
CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College Fighting Tigers have hired James "Jamie" Brooks as their Head Men's Basketball Coach to restart the program for the 2017-2018 season.
"The vision Jamie presented for our basketball team during this search as well as the character and integrity he possesses makes him the right coach for the Fighting Tigers," said President Linda Buchanan. "As we build a new team, I am confident that Jamie has the leadership skills and knowledge to build it the right way. He has experience as a head coach and a proven track record for developing young players into winning players."
Brooks has 11 years of coaching experience, including two seasons as a head coach and nine as an assistant coach. He has coached at Central Georgia Technical College, Middle Georgia College, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, and most recently spent time at Cave Spring High School in Roanoke, Virginia. Brooks said, "I am very excited and thankful for the opportunity to restart the men's basketball program at Andrew College. I look forward to bringing in high-character student-athletes who can not only help build a winning tradition here at Andrew, but represent the college in a positive manner on campus and in the community, as well."
