Georgia Military's Williams reaches 150th career win
Milledgeville, GA - Prior to last Thursday's season opener, Georgia Military College's football Coach Bert Williams had no idea that he was about to reach another milestone. Williams was asked about the potential milestone on the pregame show and had no clue that a win would get him to 150 career wins. And in true Williams fashion stated that when you've been lucky enough to be a head coach for 20 years that there will be quite a few losses as well.
Williams and the Bulldogs garnered win 150 with a 33-30 win over Navarro College.
With the win Williams becomes the 19th coach to reach 150 career wins and is only 5 wins away from moving into 16th place all-time. Currently Coach Williams has a 150-54 record going into season 20. Only three coaches have more victories in fewer seasons.
Williams currently sits at 20th all-time in winning percentage at .754 and number two in wins among active coaches. Coach Williams was inducted into the NJCAA Football Coaches Hall of Fame in 2010.
