Two GCAA Baseball Players Earn All-American honors

The NJCAA released their Baseball All-American Awards for the 2016-2017 season and two GCAA players garnering post season accolades.
East Georgia's Payton Phillips was named to the Men's DI second team squad and Gordon State's Chase Suddath was named to the third team squad. Both players were GCAA first team all-region.
Phillips was the GCAA player of the year for 2017. Phillips finished the regular season with a 10-1 record with 104 strikeouts and a 1.41 ERA leading the Bobcats to the regular season title.
Suddath was a one man wrecking machine at the plate for the Highlanders. He led the conference in 9 statistical categories including a .386 batting average, 58 RBI's and 68 hits.
