Warren wins ABCA / Rawlings Gold Glove Award
Cuthbert, GA.-- Michael Warren has been named to the Rawlings Gold Glove Award team by the National Junior College Athletic Associations. Warren was one of three outfielders within the NJCAA Division 1 that received this prestigious honor. The Rawlings Gold Glove Award is based on outstanding defensive play during the course of the 2016 baseball season in which Michael started every game in centerfield for the Fighting Tigers of Andrew College. Overall for the 2016 season he finished up with 120 total chances, 118 putouts, 2 assist, and 0 errors. "I have never seen someone work as hard as Mike does on defense and takes more pride in his defensive skills than anything else. The Rawlings Gold Glove Award is a huge honor for Mike and he is very deserving to receive it. I couldn't be more proud of him" stated Head Coach Blake Williams.
In his two years at Andrew College Michael Warren has not committed an error while starting in 105 games in center field with 246 total chances, 239 putouts, and 7 assist, 0 errors.
